Our Company
The Tzelalis Fur Company was first established in 1950 in Kastoria , Greece, the birthplace of the Fur industry and trade. In 1958, the “Tzelalis” name-brand became international by opening a division in New York City on Seventh Avenue, known as Fashion Avenue.This, along with the high demand of Furs in the 1960’s, allowed the company to develop and expand rapidly in the designing, production, wholesale and retail markets.
The big step
In 1970 another major move was made by opening another division in Athens, Greece. This was a time of great prosperity as the Greek retail market was growing rapidly and there was a great demand for Fur products. Here, to this day, “Tzelalis” has been acknowledged as one of the most well known trademarks in the Fur and Leather fashion market. During this period the Tzelalis Company became involved with the production of Leather garments and fur and leather accessories , thus moving into a new market with a “casual, everyday ” product for both women and men.
Company Activity
Retail “pop-up” shops have been opened over the years in several areas in Greece in an effort to bring products closer to prospective customers in growing local or tourist markets such as Myconos, Pireas, Veroia, Korinth, Kos and Crete.
A family company
Three generations have contributed in making “Tzelalis Furs & Leathers” the company it is today: a family business with traditional values and ethics, with years of experience and thorough knowledge of the field at all levels; a company dedicated to creating top quality, handmade creations to satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers.
